taiga13Hi everyone, I wish I had news about the Season 5 release date, but instead I'm updating you on what The Expanse fandom is referring to as The Thing. Actor Cas Anvar, who plays Alex Kamal on the show, has been accused of sexual misconduct. The authors, showrunners, and other actors have released statements saying they're taking the allegations very seriously. The studio, Alcon, has hired an independent firm to investigate.
If he's fired from the show, which I expect he will be if the investigation concludes the allegations are true (I'm glad to say the authors have shown no patience with fans arguing he can't be fired unless convicted in court), I hope they recast the role instead of writing Alex out of the show. I'd hate to see the show deviate from the books. The authors said that they will be part of whatever decisions are made.

- Interview with Patti Kim who played Carol Chiwewe, leader of the New Terra (Ilus IV) settlement in Season 4. A minor character but she's from my hometown so obviously I have to include her.

ballantineHey all! I found myself musing over how different the viewing experience has been with s4 being released all at once vs previous years' week-by-week.
The rat in my brain who likes pushing the pleasure button obviously enjoys the freedom to watch the next episode whenever I like, but I've definitely noticed a decrease in fan discussion of the show, at leasat in my own sphere (because people watch at different rates?)... maybe I'm not following the right people, who knows? Anyway -- thoughts? Do you guys prefer having the season dropped all at once or wish it was doled out over the course of a couple months?
